*Passing of audition-class required. Students must have at least two to four years of advanced-beginning to beg. intermediate dance training to prepare for this level.

Wednesday 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Objective: Students will learn advanced-beginning to beg. intermediate dance skills in classical ballet, modern dance (Horton-based), jazz, hip-hop, and stretch/conditioning.

The Academy offers an annual dance programming with diverse class offerings, developed around a balanced curriculum reviewed by Faculty and its Director Shawn Short, MFA.
Students nine to 24 years old learned classical/contemporary ballet, musical theatre/contemporary jazz, hip hop dance, African, modern dance, Boy’s/Men’s class, pre-pointe/pointe, variation and acting for dancers.

Additionally, selected students have the opportunity to perform in concert with our nationally-recognized contemporary ballet Dissonance Dance Theatre.
